About
As a student initiative supported by the Good Food Institute, our mission is to:
- Generate awareness and excitement in the local alternative protein field
- Encourage interdisciplinary studies in alternative proteins
- Nurture a self-sustaining network
Singapore has been widely supportive in the innovation of alternative proteins, with it being the first government to approve the sale of cultivated meat products back in 2020, as well as the projected opening of Asia’s largest cultivated meat facility by 2023. Currently ranked as the top university in Asia, the National University of Singapore is well positioned to lead the alternative protein revolution with its proven track of innovative research and strong start-up culture. We are excited to build an open and inclusive community that supports multidisciplinary research and innovation in the alternative protein field, while fostering entrepreneurship by connecting industry stakeholders and students.
