Drake leads the Policy Department’s state legislative efforts and campaigns for public research to accelerate progress on alternative proteins.
Areas of expertise: state legislation, research, coalition building
Prior to joining GFI, Drake worked for the Security Industry Association where he led and expanded their state and local advocacy portfolio, including initiatives around security technology funding and implementation. Drake also completed a yearlong fellowship with the U.S. Department of State in Germany through the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange program. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Webster University in St. Louis and earned an MPA with an emphasis on labor relations at the University of Illinois in Springfield, Illinois – his hometown.
